| Preparation Instructions For The Loose End Of Jacketed Interlock Armor |

1. Prior to terminating into your equipment, determine the length needed for the exposed leads plus 3 convolutions of cable armor |

2. Go to the point on the cable where the armor will be cut and strip the jacket off approximately 6 convolutions |

3. Secure the section of the armor by running bonding adhesive in the channels of approximately 4 convolutions, starting next to the PVC jacket |

4. Allow the bonding adhesive to set at least 1-3 minutes, or until dry and not sticky |
|||||||
5. Cut the armor between the 3rd and 4th convolution to expose the leads, making sure there are 3 convolutions before and 3 convolutions after your cut |

6. Remove the excess jacket and armor |
